The Catechism department of St. Norbert Church came into being in the year 2008, with thirty students and a handful of dedicated teachers who catered to their spiritual needs, within the limited facilities. From its humble inception, the Catechism unit has witnessed an inorganic growth that has made it eligible to be counted as one among the Category I churches in the diocese of Mandya with 463 students and 32 catechists to guide them in faith formation. With the view of enriching the spirituality of our students, we conduct section-wise annual retreats. Though the spiritual upbringing of the children has always been our priority, we do not underate their overall development. We always strove to provide platforms for our students to showcase their talents by conducting cultural competitions which often help us discover hidden talents that have the potential to shine brighter with guidance and support. Our students have always made a mark in every field, from Bible Quiz competitions, Catechism Scholarship exams to exhibiting their talents in Bible Kalotsavams. St. Norbert Sunday School has been awarded the best unit consecutively for the last three years (2018-2020) which reflects the sheer hard work put in by the students and teachers ​.
